Three new studios have joined the Norwood Space Center’s Open Studio event. With Building 8 open, this hive of artists now features multiple photographers, a variety of painters in different mediums, a print-maker, a furniture refinisher, many graphic designers, and even a non-profit called Finding One’s Voice. FOV’s mission is to give youth voice through artistic expression.
A permanent gallery on “Main Street” has also opened and is rotating in tenant pieces. The gallery and studios will be open to the public Saturday January 12th, from 2-5 pm, in both buildings 6 and 8.
After exploring the space (and maybe even purchasing a piece or two), stop by Percival Brewing Company in the adjacent building for a in-house brewed beer, coffee from the Kahfee Roasting Company or a warm pretzel. Sallie Strand and Matt McKee’s painting and photo illustrations will be displayed at the Wall Gallery there.
The Wahlburgers Food Truck will be parked outside Percival Brewing from 3 PM to 8 PM. Stop by and try one of their tasty burgers, sandwiches and/or frappes.
The experience at the Open Studio event at the Norwood Space Center will be out of this world!
